For standard work, these are fine. For intensive projects and heavy duty usage, these will simply not do. The price tag indicates what these can handle, be realistic in your goals. If you’re going to build an expensive rifle from scratch, don’t cheap out on cruddy tools. Get stuff meant for that task that are highly durable and can take punishment! In fact, get a short stubby set for heavy duty usage. Use longer shank drives to finish a pin not easily reached, use short ones for heavy duty work or for better control. I used these to take apart my Rossi 1892 Lever action rifle, which has a single pin I require a punch for that links several parts together for operation. It isn’t a stubborn pun, and comes out without a lot of effort. To be cautious, I use a rawhide mallet. I recommend the same; rawhide or rubber are best, they will not risk damage to your firearm or the pin nearly as much. (You can always break something If you’re really trying that hard.) My set looks, feels and so far works just fine. But I know how to treat such a tool.

I looked at a few sets of punches before I settled on these, I definitely made the right choice. I needed these for some firearms maintenance and cleaning. They work great and they're well built. The knurled grip is nicely etched on and they are all stamped at the end of the handle with the sizes. The finish seems pretty durable so they should hold up for a long time. The roll pouch they come in is pretty sturdy with the exception of the "string" that you tie it closed with, not a big deal at all. Overall I'm very happy with them. I also purchased a medium-sized Tekton rubber mallet to pair up with them.

I purchased this set to try my hand at assembling an AR-15 lower received. This set made the assembly a breeze. I was able to use some of the larger set to keep pins aligned while drive a roll pin from the other direction. Each pin is clearly marked so it made organizing them a super easy/

Great punch set the little knub sits inside the roll pins making it hard for it to slip off which is nice so you don't scratch what you are working on.

Ends of pins are larger which fit better than my more expensive kits. Gave these a good beating so far and they haven't bent.

Used it to replace the notoriously challenging backstrap roll pin on my Cz p10f. It worked like a charm, didn't bend, was long enough to pop the roll pin all the way out without needing to use pliers, and didn't mushroom the tip when I was tapping it back in. Good quality, reasonable price, even the carrying case is effective and nice.

These were a massive help when replacing the trigger and trigger guard on my Diamond Back AR. The large array of punches in the kit ensures you are able to get just the right size you need. I also didnt see any flexing in the punch as my hammer made contact and there were a few spots where I had to really put some power behind it.

These roll pin punches are very good. They are just under size, so they work well for driving pins and removing them. I use mine for gunsmithing, mostly AR builds. Definitely worth the money. I would recommend also buying a set of roll pin starter punches. If you are building an AR, you'll need the 4 smallest sizes.

This is a great kit that does not take a lot of room in my toolbox. I have already put them to use and I double I will be able to break them.
